TEXT OF SPEECH

My name is Ian Bohman and I am a freshman at foothill. I live with my parents, sister and a ton of animals. When i’m older I want to get involved in politics and U.S. government.Even though I am just a freshman i’ll be driving by december! At the top of my list would be straight A’s. I have done it in middle school but it would be a much bigger achievement in high school. By the time you are watching this I am probably the most popular kid in school. You’re probably wondering what life in 2017 is like. There are fidget spinners, vapes, people get offended really easily, and college acceptance rates are really low. I can only imagine what it might become in the year 2021 and so on.ian-brainstorming-20172018.jpg

I have many family goals, such as we could all spend more time together. My family is anything but ordinary, we just moved to Ventura so we are all still exhausted. We get angry easily, which is not a good trait to have. We argue about the most ridiculous things, and it would be great if that stopped. We all love each other (most of the time) and typically get along really well. Although we aren’t a perfect family, my goal is that we can all spend more time together, and argue less.
Starting high school is very difficult for me, because I am coming to a place where I haven’t met anyone yet. I hope to make some good friends that will last me the four years of school. So far I haven’t had anly luck in finding the right group, but I think they will come around. My goal is that I will make new friends, and reconnect with old friends. I do have a friend from middle school and I hope to connect with him and his friends more.

I don’t have very many athletic goals, but my dad sure has a few for me! At foothill i’d like to join their tennis team as well as their water polo team. It will help me be part of a team which makes it easier to make new friends. I also wish to get into a better exercise routine, which would help me to get into better shape. I don’t was to end up being stuck to a couch with a bag of bottomless potato chips. All in all I have many goals for my freshman year, and I hope to complete the majority of them. If not, there is always next year!
